Theology

God- God is the creator of all things. He is above all things and is involved in His creation. (Gen 1:1) He desires to restore His relationship with His creation. (Gen 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Col 1:15-16)

 

Jesus- Jesus Christ is God’s Son, as well as God in the flesh, who came down to earth to save all people from their sins. (Matthew 3:17) Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead in three days. (Matthew 28:1-10)

 

The Holy Spirit- The Holy Spirit is God who made His dwelling within the hearts of His people. And when called upon, the Holy Spirit encourages, guides, comforts, and transforms us to be like Jesus. (John 14:15-21, 25-26; Rom 8:10-14; 1 Cor 3:16; Rev 1:10)

 

Salvation- When those who believe in Jesus confess their sins and proclaim that Jesus is the Lord of their lives, they are then baptized for the remission of their sins in order to bridge the gap between them and God receiving the gift of eternal salvation. (Acts 8:36-40)

 

The Word of God- God’s Word is inspired and is used as a weapon for defending the faith and we need to read it and make it a part of our daily lives. (Hebrews 4:12) The Bible is the book that outlines how a Christians is supposed to look like and how they are supposed to act. The Bible is a reference for wisdom and understanding and gives us the knowledge to fight off the devil and his schemes.

 

The Church- The Church is the body of Christ, founded on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2) and consisting of all Christians everywhere. (Matt18:20; Acts 2:41-42, 2:47; 1 Cor 5:4)

 

Leadership- The Elders are the leaders of the church as outlined in 1 Timothy and Titus. They are considered to be the Shepherds of God’s Flock and are tasked with creating the vision and mission of the church, and the congregation is subject to their leadership.
